Moving Mason Forward....Creating a Culture of Health and Wellness
What is Mason Matters? We are a nonprofit organization committed to improving the health status of Mason County WA residents. With the support of three sustaining funders and by connecting and communicating with community partners we can create a culture of health and wellness. We will focus our efforts in the three areas identified by our partners where need is high and gaps are wide:
Collect: Local data, resources, community input, best practices, and contacts.
Connect: Providers, organizations, agencies, decision makers, and community members to each other, services, training, education, and resources.
Communicate: Promote and market efforts to improve health countywide by using multiple channels to reach as many people as possible. This includes providing a content rich, up to date website, social media, attendance at coalition and workgroup meetings, newspaper articles, and radio appearances.
Mason Matters is pleased to have the opportunity to honor efforts to improve health and foster wellness in Mason County. You are invited to watch a mini-documentary produced by six Evergreen State College students about the opioid epidemic in Mason County. This film profiles the efforts that are being implemented to save lives from overdoses .https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=pVMvWb3knmk
